If you enjoy handwritten letters and slow, thoughtful communication, I would love to hear from you.
Snail mail has been a meaningful part of my life for many years. There’s something special about taking the time to write, decorate an envelope, and send a small piece of yourself across the miles. If that resonates with you, you’re very welcome to write.
My Mailing Address
Stephanie U.
PO Box 1078

If you already have my home address and have been writing to me there, you are absolutely welcome to continue using it. I simply prefer to share my PO Box publicly going forward.
A Few Notes
- Letters, postcards, and various swaps are welcome.
- International mail is always appreciated.
- There is no pressure to write long letters. A postcard or short note is just as meaningful.
- Replies may take time, but I read and appreciate every piece of mail I receive.
- I’m not a parent, so mom-specific friendship books or themed swaps aren’t a good fit for me.
- I prefer not to receive proselytizing materials.
A Gentle Heads-Up
To keep snail mail joyful and sustainable for me:
- Requests for money aren’t something I’m able to help with. I’m also generally unable to send currency or return stamps.
- I do occasionally participate in pen pal swaps where exchanging items is part of the fun. If you’re interested in a swap, please ask first so we’re on the same page.
- I personally prefer handwritten letters, but typed letters are absolutely fine. I usually respond in the same way the letter was written.
- You’re always welcome to reach out by email with comments, questions, or suggestions, but I’m not able to keep up with email pen pals at this time.
- If we establish that we’d like to be letter writing pals, I truly appreciate thoughtful, deliberate letters. I love getting to know people, and personal letters mean much more to me than generic messages sent to many recipients.
- Please include a legible return address if you’d like a reply.
- If you ever receive anything from me postage due, please know that it was absolutely unintentional. I do my best to calculate postage carefully, but with international mail especially, variables can pop up. If something ever seems off, please let me know so I can make it right.
What I Love Writing About
If you’re unsure what to say, feel free to write about:
- Everyday life where you live
- Books, movies, or music you love
- Your family, pets, plants, and/or hobbies
- Small joys, observations, or thoughts that don’t quite fit anywhere else
If you’d like, you can also check out the Resources or Freebies sections (coming soon) for letter writing prompts and stationery.
Thank you for taking the time to write. In a fast world, choosing something slow feels like a small act of kindness.
You’re always welcome to simply send a letter or postcard using the address above. If you’d rather introduce yourself first or have a quick question, you can also reach me using the form below.
